Our Patrons

The Young Theatre has been extremely fortunate to have had some very distinguished members of the theatrical profession as its patrons over the years. These have been:

Bob Holness, actor and presenter, who is perhaps best known for hosting the British version of Blockbusters, has been a patron since 1977 - and also took part in the Young Theatre production of Winter's Tale in 1996, on video!

David Edgar, one of England's foremost political playwrights, and recipient of numerous awards, wrote Ball Boys, the one act play with which The Young Theatre became the winners of the British Drama Festival in 2004.

Robert Glenister, an actor of considerable standing and star of Hustle (amongst many other Radio & TV productions), was a very active member of The Young Theatre at Harrow during the 1970's - and thus becomes the first member to become a patron of the group!
