The Young Theatre is managed by an Executive Committee made up of members of the group. This committee is made up of the following:

Group Director aged 18 or over

Treasurer aged 16 or over

Secretary aged 14 or over

Marketing Manager aged 15 or over

Technical Manager aged 14 or over

2-4 Members Representatives (one of whom is under 14)

There are two positions, who have no voting rights on committee and are aged 21 or over. They are:

General Manager - responsible for supporting the administrations of the group

Artistic Director - responsible for productions, technical and marketing

In addition to this the Artistic Director has the final executive responsibility for ensuring:

• The maintenance, and development, of artistic, production and technical standards
• The continuity and integrity of The Young Theatre; and that the original concepts, intentions and constitution of the group are protected and respected at all times

The group also has an Honorary President and Vice-Presidents who act as ambassadors for the group in the wider community and Patrons who are usually people involved professionally in the theatre.

The committee and honorary posts are elected or ratified at an annual general meeting held in September. This also gives the membership a forum to discuss how the group is running and an opportunity to effect real change.

Membership fora are held throughout the year and the Membership Representatives take the views of the membership to committee meetings.
