RELAXED PERFORMANCES

We recognise that sometimes theatre can be a bit daunting and that being in an unfamiliar or crowded space can be a challenge. Our relaxed performances are designed for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed performance environment – including those on the autistic spectrum or with a learning disability.

What do we do differently?

  • We keep the lights on the audience up so that it's not too dark

  • You can make noise during the show - no-one will care

  • You can come and go as you please - up to you!

  • If you need to take some time out we have a chill-out area in the foyer

  • We make small changes to the lights and sound so that the performance is more accessible if you find normal theatre performances overwhelming or too loud

  • We send out members of the cast to welcome you and have a chat - especially if they play "nasty" characters

Everyone is very welcome to attend, regardless of whether or not they feel they may benefit from the special conditions that the performance offers.

They are an inclusive, enjoyable experience for all.
